 Russian meat company Eurodon produced nearly 62.7 thousand tonnes of turkey meat and 14 thousand tonnes of duck meat in the first half of the year.

 

Compared to the similar period from 2016, when the company produced 30,552 thousand tons of turkey meat, in 2018 its output almost doubled.

In the first six months of 2018, the company produced a total of 76.7 thousand tonnes of meat.

The company's past investments in its facilities have paid off. Eurodon said in a statement that its facilities built and launched in 2015 allowed it to increase its production capacity to annual volumes of 150,000 tons of turkey meat and about 30,000 tons of duck meat at the first stage and 80,000 tons at the second stage of the project development.

Eurodon is one of the largest producers of turkey and duck meat in Russia. In 2017 the company, according to its own data, produced about 63,000 tons of turkey and 28,000 tons of ducks in live weight. The revenue of the group's main company, Eurodon, was 8.3 billion rubles ($131.5 million) in 2016, and had a net loss of 2 billion rubles ($31.7 million), according to SPARK-Interfax.
