Leading Ukrainian agro-industrial group MHP is looking into acquiring Perutnina Ptuj, a well-established and vertically integrated company in Southeast Europe.

MHP has announced that it is undertaking a strategic step with this expansion, which will add value to the company and strengthen its position as a global player, while Perutnina Ptuj is obtaining a strategic long-term investor.

MHP wants to support Perutnina Ptuj's strong brand and poultry value-added products through investment and further development over the coming years.

MHP added that it commits itself to improve the quality of the Perutnina Ptuj’s production base to meet the highest EU standards. Furthermore, the company considers that this cooperation will bring direct benefits to local farmers and employees as well as have a positive impact on the poultry industry in the Balkan’s region in general.

MHP is a vertically integrated company and a leading poultry producer in Ukraine with cutting facilities in the EU (the Netherlands and Slovakia) and a sales and distribution office in MENA (UAE). MHP sells around 60% of its poultry products domestically and around 40% to over 60 countries across the world.
