Prices for chicken meat have decreased slightly by 0.2 percent during April 2018, and decreased by 5.6 percent as compared to the same period of last year. According to the Information-Analytical Agency EMEAT, imported chicken meat in Russia fell in price by 0.9 percent in April 2018, and became cheaper by 3.9 percent during a year. Purchasing and consumer prices for chicken meat began to decrease at the end of 2016 due to the active production growth and, consequently, the saturation of the Russian market.
