Kommersant-Ural, citing TASS, reports that the Hong Kong Food Safety Center (CFS) has banned the import of poultry and eggs from the Tyumen region because ofhighly virulent avian influenza A subtype H5 virus in the region. The decision was taken on the basis of the notification of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) about outbreaks of avian influenza.
