Agricultural production declined by 0.6% in 2018

Agricultural production in Russia in 2018 decreased by 0.6% in comparable prices, as follows from the preliminary data of Rosstat. In actual prices, the issue of the agro-industrial complex amounted to 5.12 trillion rubles, which is 88 million rubles less than the 2017 figures. Thus, the decline was recorded for the first time since 2012, when the agricultural production index decreased by 4.8%. In 2016, growth was 4.8%; in 2017, according to updated data on the results of the agricultural census, - 3.1%.
