Russian poultry exports booming thanks to China

A group of Russian poultry companies have seen their exports skyrocket since March of 2019 when they got the green light to enter the Chinese market. The analytical centre of the Russian Agricultural Ministry stated that Russia exported 207,000 tonnes of poultry last year, 10% more compared to the same period of the previous year. In monetary terms, export climbed by 65% reaching $ 329 million. Russia exported 62,600 tonnes of poultry to China, representing $ 143.4 million, the Ministry estimated. Export has been steadily growing throughout the year as more Russian poultry farms have been getting authorisation to export their production of the Chinese. Read more...
