The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reports that by the end of 2019, the growth of pig production for slaughter in live weight achieved 5.1% (year on year). The total volume of pig production in pig farms of all forms of ownership amounted to 5.04 million tons. The share of agricultural organizations is 4.4 million tons. The growth in this segment compared to the level of 2018 was 7.2%. The main increase in pork production in live weight was demonstrated by enterprises of the Pskov, Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh regions.
