In Russia, 17 million tons of food worth more than 1.6 trillion rubles are thrown annually. Food sharing can partially correct this situation: as early as 2024, thanks to Internet services, 1 million tons of products can be saved. Russia’s leading food retailer,X5 Group, has invited Baltic startups to pitch their offers for improving the company’s retail chains, Latvian public broadcaster LSMreports.
