In Russia, 17 million tons of food worth more than 1.6 trillion rubles are thrown annually. Food sharing can partially correct this situation: as early as 2024, thanks to Internet services, 1 million tons of products can be saved. Experts from the Russian Association of Electronic Communications (RAEC) and the TIAR-Center consulting company have calculated how many products citizens and retail chains throw away annually.
