In the five months of 2019 pork production in the agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation amounted to 1.73 million tons, which is 5.9% (+97 thousand tons) exceeded figure for the same period in 2018. The main share of the increase in production is accounted for pig-breeding enterprises of the Belgorod Region, which supplied the domestic market of the Russian Federation by 22.3 thousand tons more than in the five months of last year. The second place is occupied by agricultural producers of the Pskov region (+21.5 thousand tons).
