In the five months of 2019 pork production in the agricultural organizations of the Russian Federation amounted to 1.73 million tons, which is 5.9% (+97 thousand tons) exceeded figure for the same period in 2018. The main share of the increase in production is accounted for  pig-breeding enterprises of the Belgorod Region, which supplied the domestic market of the Russian Federation by 22.3 thousand tons more  than in the five months of last year. The second place is occupied by agricultural producers of the Pskov region (+21.5 thousand tons). A noticeable increase was noted in the Voronezh Region (+14.8 thousand tons), the Kursk Region (+9.8 thousand tons) and the Krasnodar Territory (+11.3 thousand tons). The growth of pork production is accompanied by an increase in the volume of exports of this type of agricultural products. In the five months of this year, it amounted to 14.9 tons excluding by-products, which is 5% higher than the same indicator of 2018.
