On July 30, the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev discussed the current status and the progress of activities aimed at achieving the targets of the federal project "Export of agricultural products" with the officials of the Far Eastern and Northwestern Federal Districts. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Kamchatka, Primorsky and Khabarovsk Terrritories, Sakhalin, Arkhangelsk and Murmansk regions. The key foreign trade items for these regions are fish and seafood, which are among the most important within the Russian agricultural export bulk. The Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev held a regular meeting with the Russian Federation constituent entities on the prospects for achieving the regional target indicators of the federal project “Export of agricultural products”. The event was attended by Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, Stavropol and Rostov regional officials. These regions account for a half of the total goal post for the current year ensuring $12.5 billion overall supply of agriproducts abroad. The Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev held a series of assessment talks with Russian regions oncurrent export performance, and also outlined the goals for 2020 and subsequent years. He highlighted that the last year’s agricultural exports amounted to $25.5 billion againstthe planned $24 billion. 50 federal entities fulfilled and exceeded the preestablished targets. The leaders are Rostov Region, Krasnodar and Primorsky Territories, whilst Moscow, Sakhalin and Belgorod regions appeared to be the best in terms of volume growth.
