The average September price of chicken in the Russian market was 0.1% lower than in August, according to the data from the Unified Interagency Statistical System (EMISS). Chilled and frozen chicken at the beginning of the fall season cost an average of 146.78 rubles per kilogram. Compared to September 2018, its price increased by 5.9%, and over the three quarters of the current year decreased by 4%. The minimum price of a broiler carcass since the beginning of 2017, 121.77 rubles per kilogram, was set in April last year. Prices for meat continued to grow between 11 September and 20 September, although not as fast as before, according to the data offered by the Ukraine's State Statistics Service analyzed by the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC). According to UAC, one kilogram of beef currently costs nearly €3.56, which is 1.04% higher than the price reported ten days ago, and compared with the same period of August, the prices increased by 3.5%.
