All news / 19 tons of Belgian pork detained at the border of the Russian Federation and Latvia

 Rosselkhoznadzor Office in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad and Pskov regions stopped 14 tons of meat products, which were transported from Belgium to Russia. A wagon was detained at the Ubylinka border checkpoint on the Russian-Latvian border.

During the inspection, Rosselkhoznadzor found that there was no record in the veterinary certificate about the meat producing country. There were also no records confirming the absence of African plague in pigs from which imported meat products were made. It is noted that the cargo was returned to the adjacent territory.
