World meat industry news

In January-July 2020, 216 thousand Mt of meat in live weight were produced in all categories of farms in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. This was announced on August 20 by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation.

According to experts, to provide the country population with meat and meat products, there is a need in poultry meat, since about 38 thousand Mt of poultry has been imported into the country annually.

Also, over 7 months about 960.2 thousand Mt of milk were produced. Milk and dairy products in the republic are supplied to the market at the expense of their own production. Dairy products are also exported to neighboring countries.

Production of eggs amounted to 346.7 million pieces, which is 2 million 366 thousand eggs or 100.8% up y-o-y.
