According to Rosptitsesoyuz, the industry has no problems with staffing large poultry farms with breeding stock.
In response to the material on the reduction in the import of hatching eggs, originally published in the Kommersant newspaper, the general director of the professional association of poultry farmers, Galina Bobyleva, said that now there are no interruptions. Commercial broiler flocks are stocked according to production schedules, using both hatching eggs and day-old chicks.
Rosptitsesoyuz confirmed that at the beginning of 2021 there were indeed gaps in the supply of breeding material from the countries of the European Union, associated with the spread of highly pathogenic avian influenza. Now they are not there, despite the fact that the epizootic situation in the EU can hardly be called stable.
