Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dmitry Patrushev discussed the development of mutual agricultural cooperation with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Russian Federation Géza Andreas von Geyr.
Germany remains one of Russia's strategic partners in agriculture. The turnover of agricultural products exceeded 1.5 billion dollars last year. According to Dmitry Patrushev, Russia is interested in further exports increase. This will be facilitated, among other things, by active cooperation between the business communities of the two countries and the implementation of joint investment projects.
The discussion of topical agricultural development issues at international events is particularly important. Last year, Russia participated in International Green Week in Berlin and BIOFACH Trade Fair for Organic Food. The Ministry of Agriculture will also continue to cooperate with German colleagues within the framework of the German-Russian Agricultural Policy Dialogue project.
Dmitry Patrushev also emphasised that Russian-German relations in agriculture are developing steadily, and it is important to continue cooperation.
