Regional authorities will have the right to create centers of regional farm products. Corresponding amendments to the legislation will be developed jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economic Development.
Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Victoria Abramchenko asked the Ministry of Agriculture to develop amendments to the legislation that would allow Russian regions to create their own centers of regional farm products. The creation of agricultural aggregators will make farm products more accessible to the population, the report says.
The creation of agroaggregators will allow farmers to bring their products to retail chains, the report says. Such an initiative has already been tested in a test mode in the Tula and Lipetsk regions, and now the government is going to collect data on how these projects were implemented and use this data to launch similar projects throughout Russia. In addition, the message noted that existing agricultural cooperatives can make the basis for the creation of agroaggregators.
Recall that Magnit previously launched an electronic platform-aggregator in the Tula region. The format of the site assumes that farmers can present their products for purchase by retail chains and conclude supply contracts here. This allows farmers to reach buyers and at the same time reduce the cost of intermediaries.
