In a comment on the integration of Russia and Belarus in the customs sphere, Alexey Gruzdev, CEO of Streda Consulting, said that the decision taken in the single customs space would not affect the dairy market in any way.
Separately, he noted that he was not familiar with the practice of re-exporting dairy products through the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation.
Speaking about the reasons for the introduction of new customs practices, the analyst clarified that this is a further continuation of the integration of trade and economic operations.
‘There is nothing terrible for the industry in this,’ he explained. ‘From the point of view of the customs, we have single customs space within the EAEU, what we are talking about is the next step in the regulation of customs rules. The question is purely technical.
