Imports of meat products to the Khabarovsk Territory in January-July 2023 increased eight times (compared to the period last year), to 1.7 thousand tons, the press service of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Khabarovsk Territory, the Jewish Autonomous and Magadan regions reports.

"In total, since the beginning of 2023, veterinary control has been carried out on more than 1,751.5 tons of imported meat products, of which 1,713 tons are poultry meat from Chinese producers," the report says. It is noted that meat and offal are imported from Brazil, Argentina, poultry meat from China. A significant increase in imports of poultry meat was noted by the department in August as well.

So, at the beginning of the month, more than 153.5 tons of chicken and duck poultry meat arrived in the region from China. The cargo was delivered by road to Khabarovsk through the Kraskino and Pokrovka checkpoints. It is noted that according to the results of the veterinary control of the received imported meat products, no violations were revealed, it was sent to the consignee for further sale.
