Brazilian enterprises for the production of vaccines for animals and birds will be able to replace the products of Western companies that have left Russia, Rosselkhoznadzor said after a meeting between the head of the service, Sergei Dankvert, and the Ambassador of Brazil to Russia, Rodrigo Baena Soares.
Representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor will visit Brazil from 15 to 20 April. There they plan to meet with representatives of the Brazilian association "National Union of Animal Health Product Companies" and study the work of enterprises producing vaccines for animals and birds. These enterprises "in the foreseeable future may replace the products of Western companies that have left the Russian market," Rosselkhoznadzor said.
In addition, at a meeting with the ambassador, it was announced that the Rosselkhoznadzor had lifted restrictions on the import of meat products from the Brazilian state of Para.
The parties also agreed on the dates for the trip of the Russian delegation to audit the Brazilian laboratories involved in seed research. It will take place from 24 to 28 April.
In addition, an agreement was reached on mutual inspections of livestock enterprises. Rosselkhoznadzor will inspect Brazilian companies producing dairy and meat products, the Brazilian veterinary service will inspect Russian fish enterprises in video format, in particular cod production. Currently Rosselkhoznadzor is preparing lists of companies interested in exporting fish products to Brazil.
