Annual inflation in Russia in November 2023 accelerated to 7.48% against 6.69% in October. In monthly terms, consumer prices increased by 1.11%, according to Rosstat data.
According to statistics, food prices in November rose by 1.55% compared to October and grew by 7.21% in annual terms. Non-food products rose in price by 0.53% month-on-month and by 5.58% compared to November 2022. The cost of services increased by 1.23% compared to October and by 10.42% in annual terms.
Foodstuffs
An increase in prices was noted for certain types of fruits and vegetables, including cucumbers - by 35.1%, tomatoes - by 19.1%, grapes - by 8.6%, garlic - by 6.8%, fresh herbs - by 2 .9%, fresh onions and mushrooms - by 2.5%, white cabbage - by 2.2%, pears and bananas - by 1.9%, apples - by 1.8%. At the same time, prices for oranges decreased by 9.4%, lemons - by 6.3%, carrots - by 1.5%, potatoes - by 0.7%.
Among other food products, prices increased: culinary poultry products - by 3%, chicken legs - by 2.5%, beef liver, pork - by 2.3%, peas and beans - by 2.2%, turkey meat - by 1 .9%, products of fast food catering establishments (Hamburger sandwich) - by 1.8%, minced meat, muffins, rolls, lunch in a restaurant - by 1.7%, salted herring fillets, olive oil, canned tomatoes - by 1.6%, frozen whole fish, butter, bread and bakery products made from various types of wheat flour, polished rice - by 1.5%.
At the same time, the following prices fell: salmon caviar - by 1.2%, milk for children - by 0.9%, oatmeal and pearl barley - by 0.5%, domestic sparkling wine, vodka, long black tea, margarine - by 0.3%, vermicelli, millet - by 0.2%.
