Cherkizovo Group's BICOM Distribution Center has become a member of the National Union of Transport and Logistics Experts. This move will help Cherkizovo enhance its cooperation with logistics companies and strengthen its stance in negotiations with public authorities.
The admission ceremony for BICOM, Cherkizovo Group’s warehouse facility in Moscow, was held at the annual meeting of the Union’s members attended by Business Russia representatives. The Union's other members include over 20 major Russian production enterprises, logistics and transport companies as well as some of Russia’s leading R&D centers.
“Our motto is 'Cooperation and Action', meaning that all the Union’s members take a proactive stance as regards the regulation of the Russian transport and logistics sector. As a new member, Cherkizovo Group will usher in new ideas and give a professional view of Russia's transportation market and its regulation,” said Olga Fedotkina, the Union’s Executive Director, during the ceremony.
Cherkizovo noted that the Company has long been seeking to join the Union and is pleased to become an official member. “We highly appreciate the professional approach and dedication of the Logistics Experts Union, Russia’s leading transport association, and hope to make a valuable contribution to its work,” said Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of Government and Public Relations at Cherkizovo Group.
