Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, has provided 5,000 sausages to mothers of large families in the Moscow Region.

On April 16, Cherkizovo Group’s flagship facility, Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant, sent a batch of 5,000 smoked sausages to mothers of large families across the Moscow Region. The Company provided this charitable aid after consultations with the region’s government and Minister of Agriculture and Food Andrey Razin.

“We believe that it is Cherkizovo Group’s social responsibility to support people who find themselves in a difficult situation, especially during these testing times. Therefore, today we are participating in food aid initiatives not just in Moscow and the wider Moscow Region, but also in other regions where we operate,” commented Anastasia Mikhailova, Head of Government and Public Relations at Cherkizovo Group.

Previously, Cherkizovo Group had also provided food aid to low-income residents of the Lipetsk and Voronezh regions.

Besides supplying food, Cherkizovo Group is using other ways to support people in Russia during self-isolation. The Company joined #МыВместе, a campaign to help senior citizens which is run by the All-Russia People’s Front with assistance from the Roscongress Foundation, volunteer groups, and Rostelecom. Through its donations, the Group helped provide essential supplies to people with reduced mobility and to the volunteers who support them. Anyone can take part in this campaign.
