Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s largest meat producer, held a pitch session with residents of the Innopolis special economic zone (SEZ) to discuss potential applications of innovative IT solutions. 

The online session saw the Innopolis residents present to Cherkizovo Group their IT solutions for automation, machine vision, analytics, and other aspects of production digitization. Speaking at the event, Cherkizovo Group's Head of IT Vladislav Belyaev shared his vision of the ways innovations can help the Company grow and went over current trends in demand for new solutions. According to Mr. Belyaev, Cherkizovo Group is looking for state-of-the-art digital technologies in agriculture and FMCG, prioritizing solutions that have already been production tested.

Representatives of the Innopolis University elaborated on the areas of joint IT research being done with major corporations. The session participants agreed to hold further discussions on potential cooperation with the SEZ residents.

“We believe that the Open Innovations format is a perfect way to find effective solutions for addressing the technology challenges facing us today. This session, organized with support from Innopolis, gave tech startups a chance to showcase their projects. We are looking forward to holding similar events across the Company's footprint and together with other development institutions,” said Rustam Khafizov, Head of Cherkizovo Group’s Analysis Center.
