“The top products that Chinese consumers need are vegetable oil, mainly rapeseed, dairy and seafood, meat products and snacks, and grains. There is also demand for chocolate and highly processed products.

We are ready to provide assistance and support to Russian companies and organize warehouses in major Chinese cities. The most convenient cities for this city are Shanghai, Harbin and Chengdu. There is an opportunity for Tyumen entrepreneurs to get into the Shanghai bonded zone, it allows companies of any form of ownership to operate and does not require mandatory Chinese participation. In addition to cars, all goods in this zone can count on tax breaks. For manufacturing companies, the tax is 15%, including the first year without taxes, 2 and 3 years - 5% and 15% thereafter. All profits can be transferred abroad,” commented Yuan Bin, Director of External Cooperation of the Import and Export Government Services Platform.

The owner of the Xiangpu company, the head of the Association of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of China, LiuYadong, spoke about the demand for Russian products:

“China is a very large market, and consumers are now in demand for healthy, high-quality products, and Russian products are precisely associated with all-natural production. The main product that is now in demand on the Chinese market is oil, including rapeseed, sunflower, soybean, flour, chocolate, and milk. But it is worth thinking carefully about the packaging for exported products, understanding what size the Chinese consumer needs, what the packaging looks like, how convenient it is. Also in China, there is an obvious trend towards online promotion of goods, which should not be forgotten when planning exports. Russian companies can contact us, we will help resolve various issues, from logistics to promotion of goods in China. If you supply products, goods with the support of the export center and the government of the Tyumen region, then the level of confidence in this product will be higher.”

“There is no locomotive sender in Tyumen. To establish work, it is necessary to find a company that can ship a train of 44 containers and provide monthly flights. We need clear work and communication with any of the PRC bonded zones, where the Tyumen region plans to develop its supplies by creating its own sales offices at these sites in order to ensure work on the ground,” explained Ilya Romanov, CEO and founder of Energia Export LLC, general representative of the Chinese Association of Russian-Chinese companies of importers and exporters in Russia.

According to Vladimir Nezhdanov, an expert at the Institute of Contemporary International Problems of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry, China will receive the Russian market for the supply of its technologies.

“China as a trading partner is of great importance to us. We sell mineral products for export, and there is a growing interest in timber, metals, and agricultural products. Imports are machinery, equipment, mainly from Shanghai. Now we can actively develop trade relations,” Nezhdanov said.

Andrey Panteleev, Deputy Governor, also commented on the interaction between Tyumen and Chinese companies:

“Our business has an interest in everything related to high technology, industrial equipment and spare parts, on the Chinese side we see a growing interest in Tyumen food products, which are famous for their quality and naturalness, and farmers have great prospects in this direction. Everyone needs to learn how to work in new conditions, at the request of a new market that is different from Europe, and this meeting is the first and important step in the right direction.”
