Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with China's Minister of Agriculture Han Chanfu, which was attended by the leadership of the Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian-Chinese Regional Development Investment Fund and representatives of the largest China agricultural companies. The parties discussed current issues of import and export of agricultural products, development projects of border regions and the activities of the Russian-Chinese Sub-Commission on Agriculture. Recently, trade turnover between Russia and China has increased sharply, the Russian minister said. Last year, the volume of production of agro-industrial imports and exports grew by 25%, in value terms - almost to $ 4.5 billion. In only four months of 2019, it reached $ 1.5 billion, indicating a 5 percent increase over the same period of 2018. The positive dynamics was ensured by the interaction of the veterinary services of both countries in the admission of agricultural products to domestic markets. Now it is time to expand the range of supplies and to remove restrictions on the export of frozen poultry meat and dairy products. Dmitry Patrushev paid special attention to the export of Russian meat to China. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation expressed the hope that the recognition of the principle of regionalization of the territory of the Russian Federation on infectious animal diseases by the Chinese side will ensure the supply of pork, beef and deer meat from epizootically safe territories of Russia.
