The online business mission of Russian exporters with Angola, organized by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture and the Agroexport Federal Center with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Angola, has ended. Within three days, more than 110 meetings and b2b negotiations between Russian and Angolan companies took place.

“Historically, Russia and Angola have close relations, and today our country, as one of the leading food exporters, can offer Angolan partners not only grain crops, but also a range of meat and dairy products, fish, vegetable oils, confectionery, drinks, taking into account the specifics of the Angolan market . The past direct meetings have demonstrated the readiness of the businesses of the two countries to establish a direct dialogue and discuss possible options for cooperation,” commented Dmitry Krasnov, head of Agroexport.

“Angola's veterinary services are in constant contact with Russian colleagues. For many types of products, Russia already has access to the Angolan market, new categories are being discussed now. Thank you for the invitation to participate in the mission, which has significantly expanded the format of our interaction and will allow us to unleash the huge untapped potential,” said Paulo Afons, Director of the Department of National Veterinary Administration of the Institute of Veterinary Medicine under the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Angola.

“Alimenta operates a chain of stores in Angola that aims to sell groceries at affordable prices. We already buy goods in Russia and we know that they are of very high quality. We want to establish direct contacts with Russian manufacturers and find opportunities for establishing permanent cooperation,” said Anilkumar Sonavan, Import Director of the Alimenta Angola retail chain.

“Africa is one of the priority and largest directions for the development of Damate's exports. Today, more than half of the volume of export deliveries falls on the African continent. For partners in these countries, we offer a wide range of products under the Salima brand, which are in demand among the local population, these are products of deep processing of turkey, anatomical parts and semi-finished products,” comments Daria Lashchenko, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales of Damate.

“Angola is a large and growing market, including in terms of food. Oil and fat products in Angola are represented mainly by tropical and soybean oils, and sunflower oil, traditional for the Russian market, is rather perceived as exotic. However, over time, it may find its buyer in Angola. The business mission helped us to explore the market, move forward in building business relationships with partners,” said Dmitry Zagnetin, EFKO Senior Regional Export Manager.
