Rosselkhoznadzor (FSVPS) announced that 16 exporter countries are subject to a simplified procedure for importing livestock products into the Russian Federation by means of digital document management.
In particular, the four states that have already established digital interaction with Russia in terms of veterinary surveillance, will be able to exchange e-veterinary certificates for the following products:
FSVPS explains, “The consignee or his representative from the countries mentioned above are no longer obliged to provide the original veterinary certificate for the listed goods”.
Besides, the 12 countries operating in Mercury.Notice system won’t have to provide veterinary certificates for importing animal products. On condition that they forward prior notification in the system with the digital copy of the document attached. “The original certificates can be forwarded to Rosselkhoznadzor after the goods are received in Russia. This applies to all livestock products imported from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Bulgaria, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Armenia, Serbia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina, Uzbekistan and Bolivia,” said the representatives of the Service.
They also noted, that in order to speed up the assessment and verification procedures at traffic checkpoints and during the customs clearance process, the Russian consignees should pre-submit the number and date of issue of the veterinary certificate to the Service.
