At the end of 2022, the Damate group of companies for the fifth year in a row topped the rating of the largest Russian turkey producers, annually released by the AgrifoodStrategies agency and the National Association of Turkey Producers (NAPI).
According to the agency, the total production of turkey meat in Russia amounted to 415 thousand tons in carcass weight, which is 3.6% more than in 2021. According to the rating of the top 5 companies, they produced 345.1 thousand tons of turkey meat, their share in the total volume was 83.2% against 80% a year earlier.
Damate increased the production of turkey meat to 216 thousand tons in carcass weight, adding 8% to the figure of the previous year. The positive dynamics of production growth is the result of the systematic implementation of turkey-breeding projects in the Penza and Rostov regions. In the Penza region, the company produced 166 thousand tons of turkey in carcass weight and more than 50 thousand tons in the Rostov region.
The overall growth of the holding's indicators is due to the continuation of the project to increase the capacity of the project in the Penza region up to 207 thousand tons in carcass weight per year. Last year, new facilities were launched as part of the project: a poultry block and a feed mill with an elevator,
Significant growth in the Rostov region is associated with the restart of the region's largest turkey breeding complex with a capacity of 85,000 tons of meat per year. The company promptly restored the operation of the enterprise and launched a full production cycle, as well as commissioned a slaughter and processing plant, thanks to which the production of products and their delivery to federal and local networks were started. In 2022, Damate modernized the existing lines and launched a new meat cutting line. The company gradually brought the capacities of all production facilities to the planned indicators, worked with the product range and the geography of deliveries.
The tasks of the holding for the current year are to continue the implementation of turkey breeding projects and ensure the stable operation of enterprises with an increase in the production of turkey meat.

In the North Caucasian Federal District, "Damate" develops the production of lamb. Within the framework of the project, the construction of breeding and fattening grounds is underway, the country's largest plant for slaughter and processing of mutton has been launched. Damate was the first in Russia to start working with sheep farms on a contract farming model. The service company created for this purpose provides consulting and resource support to partner farms.
