According to Patrushev, an increase in the production of livestock, poultry and milk is expected this year. All key measures have been maintained to support livestock production, he added. The head of the Ministry of Agriculture also said that in order to increase the production of cattle from 2023, as part of a compensating subsidy, the ministry is launching a reimbursement of costs per kilogram of meat sold.

Patrushev said that the food and processing industries, in turn, fully provide the food market with basic foodstuffs. In addition, growth is observed in meat processing, the production of dairy products, cheeses, butter and vegetable oils, as well as cereals.

“Thus, the key positions of the Food Security Doctrine have been fulfilled this year. These are grain, meat, fish, sugar, vegetable oil…” the head of the Ministry of Agriculture emphasized.

Also, Russia, according to him, will continue to fulfill its export obligations, primarily to friendly countries. “According to forecasts, the volume of foreign trade this year will be about $40 billion,” Patrushev concluded.
