The import duty on food products will be canceled for six months by the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This was reported on March 18 by the press service of the EEC trade bloc.
“The decision, in particular, concerns animal and dairy products, vegetables, sunflower seeds, juices, sugars, cocoa powder, amino acids, starches, enzymes and other food products,” the message says.
In addition, duties on goods for the production of pharmaceutical, metallurgical and electronic products will be canceled within six months. Goods used for the development of digital technologies, and goods for the production of light industry products, as well as goods used in the construction and transport industries, the report said.

The preferential import regime will be valid from April 1 to June 30. The benefits also include simplification of requirements for certification of imported products.
