In 2023, Belarus increased the supply of its products to the Chinese and Russian markets. Belarusian enterprises produce more food products than the domestic market requires. The surplus is actively sold abroad, said the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Belarus Igor Brylo.
The minister stressed that the republic is provided with food in excess of what it consumes: "Almost 60% of all milk, meat, grain produced, we sell for export."
"We are growing in terms of exports to Russia this year, and we are also growing to the People's Republic of China. In 4 months, we have achieved almost 115% growth in exports compared to last year. For certain items, we are increasing exports in physical terms, in monetary terms," - said Igor Brylo.
The country supplies other states with about sixty percent of all meat, milk and grain produced. This year, there is an increase in exports of manufactured products to China and the Russian Federation. Over the four months of 2023, it was possible to increase foreign supplies of agricultural products by almost fifteen percent. For some positions, we observed an increase in exports in physical terms, and for others - in monetary terms.
"Of course, the market is still getting crowded. This must be recognized. We must look for new markets," he added.
