Farmers who produce agricultural products for export can receive compensation for part of the transportation costs from the state. Applications will begin in January.

Farmers and suppliers of agricultural products can compensate up to 25% of the cost of transporting agricultural products, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. To do this, you need to apply on the My Export platform starting from January 19, 2023.

Farmers can compensate up to a quarter of the total amount of transport costs that they incurred in the III and IV quarters of 2022 or will incur in the I and II quarters of 2023. Applications will be accepted from January 19, 2023 to November 1, 2023. To submit an application, an organization is required to have a verified electronic signature or legal entity record in the ESIA system. Next, you need to apply in your personal account. The Ministry of Agriculture notes that in this way the application is reduced to a one-stop shop and removes the need for farmers to visit government agencies and collect supporting documents.

Further actions of the system are fully automated. The program sends a request to the relevant departments through state information systems, receives confirmation if the products were actually exported at the specified time, and receives permission for financial compensation. Further, the specialists of the Center check the information received and the documents provided by the exporter, and send the request to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The government decree clarifies that in order to provide a subsidy, products transported for export must exceed the value of the requested subsidy by at least three times. Also, companies may refuse if it is discovered that they have submitted false documents or other dishonest actions when receiving a subsidy for the last three years.

The regulation on compensation of expenses for the export of agricultural products and food products was adopted by the Russian government back in 2017, the document states. The joint-stock company "Russian Export Center" participated in the decision-making, and on behalf of the government, it also deals with issues of issuing subsidies.
