Exports of meat products from the Russian Federation increased by 5.4%

One of the major suppliers of deep processing products is the Cherkizovo group. According to "Agroexport",  the company is focused both on the further expansion of the geography of supplies, and on the restructuring of exports, increasing the share of products with a higher degree of processing. This strategy has already provided 15% growth in export revenue in 7 months of 2021. The total volume of supplies for this period amounted to about 50 thousand tons. At the same time, the most dynamic development is the export of sausages, which increased by 25% in volume during this period.

Last year the group increased the export of meat and meat products by more than 70%, to 82.5 thousand tons. First of all, we are talking about the supply of poultry products to China, as well as pork and sausages to the markets of the CIS countries. In particular, broiler meat accounts for about 70% of the total shipments. "But at the same time, if in 2020 a significant part of exports went to China,   this year regular shipments of chicken fillets to Saudi Arabia and Serbia have been established, and the supply of halal broiler meat has increased," Cherkizovo reports.

Andrey Terekhin, head of the group's industry expertise and export development department  believes that there is still significant potential for further growth in exports. This is the long-awaited opening of the Japanese market for the supply of Russian chicken meat, and the beginning of its supply to Singapore and other ASEAN countries, and the intensification of supplies of pork in cuts to the markets of Vietnam, Serbia, and other countries, as well as the supplies of sausages to China.
