Food production in Russia in July increased by 11.3% compared to the same month last year, Rosstat reported on August 23. Compared to June this year, production increased by 8%, since the beginning of this year (for seven months) - by 6.2%.

According to Rosstat, 293.05 thousand tons of meat of cattle, pork, lamb, goat meat, horse meat and other animals were produced in July 2023, which is 2.1% more than in July 2022. The output of these products in January-July of this year increased by 4.6% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 2.1 million tons.

Steam, chilled or chilled pork produced 265.6 thousand tons, which is 0.9% more than in July 2022. In January-July 2023, the output of these products increased by 3.8% compared to the same period last year, to 1.9 million tons.

271.6 thousand tons of chilled poultry meat were produced, which is 2.1% less than in July 2022. In January-July, production increased by 1.8% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 2 million tons.

149.9 thousand tons of boiled sausages were produced, which is at the level of July 2022. For seven months of this year, 958.3 thousand tons of boiled sausages were produced (+0.3%). 385 thousand tons of meat and meat-containing semi-finished products, chilled or frozen in July (+3.2%), in seven months - 2.7 million tons (+6.2%).

441.4 thousand tons of frozen fish were produced in July, which is 42.9% more than in July 2022. In January-July, 1.8 million tons (+13%) of this product were produced.

The production of white beet sugar in July 2023 increased by 2.2 times compared to the same period last year and reached 48.8 thousand tons. The output of this product in January-July increased compared to the same period in 2022 by 27 .3%, amounting to 693.8 thousand tons.

The output of wheat and wheat-rye flour in July amounted to 664.5 thousand tons (+3.3%), rice - 44.4 thousand tons (+48.9%), buckwheat - 44.7 thousand tons (+ 47%). 569 thousand tons of unrefined sunflower oil and its fractions (+34.4%), refined sunflower oil and its fractions - 233.5 thousand tons (+16.9%) were produced. Bottling of natural mineral water and drinking water amounted to 2.07 billion half liters (+11.3%).
