The food industry in November this year, compared to October, reduced food production by 1.9%. Compared to November last year, production increased by 6.5%, reported the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat). For 11 months in annual terms, production increased by 2.5%.

In particular, the production of wheat and wheat-rye flour in November amounted to 743 thousand tons, which is 1.6% more than in November 2020, but 3.1% less than in October this year. For 11 months, its output decreased by 3.5% compared to the same period last year, amounting to 7.4 million tons. Pasta enterprises produced 128 thousand tons of products in November, which is 2.7% more than in the same period last year, but 8.3% less than in October 2021.

433 thousand tons of bakery products were baked (0.4% more and 2.6% less, respectively). For 11 months, 4.7 million tons of them was produced (3% less).

Cereal enterprises produced 49 thousand tons of rice in November (16.9% more and 13.9% less). 46.1 thousand tons of buckwheat was produced (7.9% more and 7% less).

The production of refined sunflower oil and its fractions amounted to 253 thousand tons (by 1.9% and 0.3% less). In 11 months, 2.1 million tons of oil was produced (13.9% less).

The meat industry produced 276 thousand tons of meat in November, which is 2.6% more than in November last year, and 3% more than last October. In January-November, production amounted to 2.8 million tons (0.3% more). Pork production increased by 0.9% compared to November last year, to 247 thousand tons. Compared to October of this year, the growth was 2.8%. There was produced 28.2 thousand tons of beef and veal (21.4% and 5.6% more, respectively).

Poultry farmers produced 273 thousand tons of poultry meat. This is 2.7% more than a year earlier, but 1.4% less than in October 2021.

471 thousand tons of milk was produced in November (0.3% more and 1.5% less). For 11 months, the growth was 0.6%, up to 5.1 million tons. 20.9 thousand tons of butter was produced for a month (6.4% more and 7.6% less). 250 thousand tons was produced in 11 months (1.6% less).

The sugar industry produced 1.5 million tons of beet sugar last month, which is 29.4% more than in November last year, but 4% less than in October this year. In 11 months, 5 million tons of sugar was produced (2.4% less).

249 thousand tons of frozen fish was produced in November (respectively by 8.4% and 13.2% more). However, in 11 months it was produced by 2.1% less than a year earlier - 2.7 million tons. The production of frozen fillet has grown significantly - up to 18.8 thousand tons (by 36.1% and 10.7% more, respectively). Fresh or chilled fillets - 380 tons (19% and 11.4% more).
