Agriculture in Russia demonstrates high development rates in all key areas.

The highest dynamics are observed in the food and processing industry segment.
According to the Russian Federal State Statistics Service, this year the food production index amounted to 104.3% compared to the same period last year. The beverage production index reached 101.9% and the tobacco product manufacturing index is 103.3%. High growth rates are recorded in the production of canned meat (+12.3%), processed and canned potatoes (+12.1%), meat (+11.4%), sunflower oil (+10%), meat and meat-containing semi-finished products (+8.4%), cheese (+5.8%).
Such positive dynamics are driven by a systematic increase in agricultural raw material production, increased supplies to foreign markets, improved government support measures and modernisation of production facilities. The high pace of industry development makes it possible to fully supply the domestic market with basic foodstuffs as well as to increase export potential.
