Unified Interdepartmental Information Statistics System (EMISS) published a summary of September mutton prices in different regions of the Russian Federation.

 

In September 2019, the highest possible prices for mutton was recorded in the Central Federal District of Russia, where the average September price of this type of red meat was 512.54 rubles per kilogram. At the lowest price (378.36 rubles per kilogram), mutton was sold in the stores of the North Caucasus Federal District: the average price of mutton, except for fillet, amounted to 420.39 rubles per kilogram. Compared to August, it slightly decreased (by 0.02%), but at the same time increased by 14.2% in annual terms.

For the nine months of 2019, the increase in the average price of mutton reached 15.7%. According to data for two years and nine months, the price of lamb was minimal in January 2017: then it cost 338.4 rubles per kilogram. The maximum price level (423.18 rubles per kilogram), was reported in May 2019.
