Over the past six months, 8 new markets were opened for Ukrainian exporters and 63 commodity positions were re-agreed in 11 states and international economic organizations. This was reported by the chairman of the State Food and Consumer Service Vladislav Magaletskaya, the press service writes.

"An important priority for us is opening of new markets for the Ukrainian products exports. After all, this will bring new jobs for Ukrainians and revenues from taxes to the state budget, "said Vladislava Magaletskaya.

The State Food and Consumer Service noted that for 6 months the markets of Japan, Libya, Argentina and Lebanon were opened for Ukrainian producers of dairy products, Serbia became open for Ukrainian producers of animal protein, the UAE - for live cattle exports.

In addition, 63 commodity items in 11 states and international economic organizations have been re-agreed. Foremost this refers to the CIS countries, with which new trade rules have been in force since April 13, 2021 due to the termination of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Veterinary Medicine, which was signed in 1993. Also, due to changes in the terms of trade, documents were revised with Singapore and South Korea.

It is noted a work done for recognition by  the European Union of zoning of Ukraine for highly pathogenic poultry influenza, thanks to which Ukraine resumed from March 20 exporting products to the EU.

"Now work is continuing to open markets on all continents. Among the most promising countries for exporters are the EU countries, China, Singapore, India, Vietnam, South Africa and Indonesia, "the report said.
