In Russia, everything is fine with the production of poultry meat and eggs, the National Union of Poultry Breeders (NSP) said.

According to the estimates of the industry association, the pace of poultry production is 3% ahead of demand, and there is reason to believe that this trend will continue until the end of this year, KazakhZerno.kz writes.

In February alone, the production of poultry meat in annual terms increased by more than 10%: this is the largest increase in the last 3 years. Another important trend is the reduction in the import of hatching eggs: already in 2021, the share of domestic eggs was estimated at 84%. Last year alone, Russian poultry farmers provided an additional production of about 100 million tons of hatching eggs.

At the end of 2022, the share of Russian products in this area will increase by several points, and in 1-1.5 years it will become 100%. Providing poultry farms with Russian breeding material is stimulated by the state.

Poultry breeders are given subsidies (this year their total amount is 5 billion rubles) for the construction of their own loudspeakers and the creation of other infrastructure for the development of domestic breeding stocks of meat chickens.
