On August 11, the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan introduced restrictions on the import of poultry meat, eggs and other poultry products from the states of Utah, Oregon and Washington.
The decision on restrictions was made on the basis of official information from the World Organization for Animal Health (WAHIS) in connection with the registration of avian influenza in these states.
Restrictions have been introduced on the import of: live poultry and hatching eggs, down and feathers; poultry meat and all types of poultry products that have not undergone heat treatment; feed and feed additives for birds (with the exception of feed additives of plant origin, chemical and microbiological synthesis), hunting trophies that have not undergone taxidermy treatment; used equipment for keeping, slaughtering and cutting birds.
The transit of live birds from the above territories through the territory of Kazakhstan is also prohibited.
For goods shipped before August 11, the decision to pass will be made in the usual manner.
It should be noted that at the end of March this year, the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision imposed restrictions on the import of poultry and poultry products from the states of Kansas and Wisconsin.
