The average annual increase in fish prices in the Russian Federation in 2022 amounted to 7.9%. This was reported in the Association of Shipowners of the Fishing Fleet (ASRF), after analyzing the data of the reports of the Ministry of Economic Development "On the current price situation."
The ASRF noted that the average annual inflation rate last year was 13.8%.
Meanwhile, pork has risen in price by 8.3%, chicken meat - by 10.6%, mutton - by 12.4%. The highest growth was demonstrated by beef - 20.2%. Below the growth rate of prices for fish among protein products of animal origin, only the rise in price of eggs - by 4%.
