Meat production in Russia in January-October 2022 increased by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 2.75 million tons. This is stated in the materials of Rosstat.
"Meat of cattle, pork, lamb, goat meat, horse meat and other animals in October 2022 produced 289.3 thousand tons, which is more than in October 2021 and September 2022, by 6% and by 2.3 For the ten months of 2022, production increased by 7.1% compared to January-October 2021, amounting to 2.75 million tons," the ministry said.
According to Rosstat, the production of steam, chilled or chilled pork in October amounted to 261.4 thousand tons, which is 7.2% more than in October 2021, and 2.1% more than in September 2022. In the ten months of 2022, the production of steam, chilled or chilled pork increased by 8.2% compared to the same period in 2021, amounting to 2.5 million tons.
The production of chilled poultry meat in October amounted to 286.9 thousand tons, which is 2.1% and 3.6% more than in October 2021 and September 2022, respectively. For the ten months of 2022, the production of chilled poultry meat decreased by 0.1% compared to January-October 2021, amounting to 2.8 million tons.
