The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has developed a draft law on ecologically clean agricultural products, raw materials and food. This is stated in the message of the Ministry. The bill was prepared as part of the process of creating a brand of "green" products in Russia on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation.

“Its adoption will allow to form a system of legal regulation of the eco-product market that is new for Russia. The draft law is aimed at regulating the production, storage, transportation, labeling and sale of such products,” the Ministry of Agriculture noted.

The norms of the bill do not apply to perfumery, cosmetic, hunting and fish products (except aquaculture), medicines, seeds of forest plants, as well as organic products.

The document provides the development of national standards (GOST), which will define the technical and technological requirements for environmentally friendly products. In addition, it is planned to create special laboratories to assess their compliance with all established requirements and conduct soil monitoring.

The Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor will have the authority to control the handling of eco-products. Producers of "green" products will be registered in the unified state database and will receive the right to place on packaging a special marking of a single sample, which will ensure traceability of goods at all stages of production.

As explained in the Ministry of Agriculture, in contrast to organic agricultural products, the production of eco-products allows the use of a limited group of safe for humans and the environment fertilizers and other agrochemicals, plant protection products, feed and food additives.
