  Sergey Levin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia, met with Sadasivan Premjith, the Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore. The two sides discussed investment cooperation in the agricultural sector and opportunities for increased trade.

Sergey Levin noted that the Singapore market is promising for increasing supplies of Russian products of animal origin. The two countries' supervisory services works on the issue. For example, after Singapore's video inspection of a Stavropol poultry producer, the company sent samples of its products to the country. According to the deputy minister, Russia is interested in continuing deliveries and expanding the list of exporting companies.


Deputy Minister also said that in order to increase the level of Russian-Singaporean cooperation in the agricultural sector, a decision was made to send a representative of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture to the Republic of Singapore who is expected to take up the duties soon.
