The volume of Russian food exports to foreign markets by the end of 2023 may exceed $45 billion. This was stated by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, speaking at a plenary session at the XXV Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition “Golden Autumn - 2023”.
“Despite foreign trade restrictions, in 2023 we dynamically increased food supplies to foreign markets. The volume of exports is already significantly ahead of the same period last year and amounts to almost $33 billion. We expect that by the end of the year we will reach a figure of more than $45 billion. Moreover, these are rather conservative estimates. Perhaps this figure will be increased,” the minister noted.
Dmitry Patrushev added that over the past 1.5 years, Russian farmers have managed to adapt to changing working conditions: they have rebuilt logistics and foreign economic relations. The country still remains a net exporter of agricultural products.
