Kazakh agency LS has published materials on its website about prospects of growing of premium beef production in Kazakhstan LS

According to the LS agency and information received from the fund of private capital funds Kazyna Capital Management (KKM), which provides capital to companies in various sectors of the economy in order to further competitiveness benefits and competitive recovery, Almaty region of Kazakhstan will produce up to 1 thousand Mt of premium beef, starting from 2021 and further increase production capacity to 2.5 thousand Mt per year.

Last year, foreign investor Baumann GmbH & Co. KG and meat cluster “Kazmyaso” through the affiliated fund of KKM - Baiterek Venture Fund - signed an agreement on investments upon the program of preferential financing valued at 2.5 billion tenges in construction of a meat-processing complex on the basis of the enterprise in Iliysky district of Almaty region which is engaged in breeding of pedigree horses and cattle of Angus breed.

Agency LS quotes Tolegen Bozzhanov, the general director of “Kazmyaso” Group of Companies, as saying that during the pandemic of COVID-19, sales of meat products at the HRI segment decreased sharply and it is difficult to say about its recovery time, but production was not stopped, and products were sold through a meat boutique in Almaty and e-commerce sales.
