Moscow enterprises in the first quarter of 2022 produced almost 71,000 tons of meat products. This is 15.5 percent higher than the result of 2021 for the same period, said Deputy Moscow Mayor for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.

“24 enterprises of the meat industry operate in the city, which supply products not only to residents of the capital, but also to other regions of the country. From January to March 2022, such companies increased their output by 15.5 percent compared to the same period in 2021. So, they produced almost 71 thousand tons of sausages, meat and offal and provided customers with goods worth 27.5 billion rubles, which is 13.1 percent more than in the same period of the previous year,” he said.

From January to March 2022, over 66 thousand tons of sausages and more than 4.5 thousand tons of meat and offal were produced in the capital. In particular, one of the largest representatives of the industry, the Cherkizovsky Meat Processing Plant, produced more than 15,000 tons of products in the first quarter of 2022. The enterprise produced about five thousand tons of sausages, which is 10 percent more than in the same period last year.

“The city provides support to the Cherkizovsky meat processing plant. Thus, in 2016, the enterprise was given the status of an industrial complex, thanks to which it was able to save 82 million rubles on taxes, use them to modernize production lines and, as a result, increase the volume of goods output,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Moscow Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

The city offers more than 20 support measures to industrial enterprises in the capital, and is also developing new tools, including within the framework of sanctions restrictions. For example, companies can receive financial assistance from the Moscow Industry and Entrepreneurship Support Fund. Preferential loans are issued for the implementation of investment projects for the construction of non-residential facilities in the city. To do this, in March, an additional 10 billion rubles were sent to the fund by order of Sergei Sobyanin. Loans are also provided to replenish working capital. Another 10 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of this support measure.
