Now there are 24 meat processing enterprises in Moscow, which employ about 14 thousand people.
From January to May this year, the capital's enterprises produced 26.9 percent more meat products than in the same period in 2022. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Yefimov.
“The volume of processing and canning of meat and meat products at Moscow enterprises in May 2023 increased by 37 percent compared to the previous month and more than doubled compared to May last year,” he added.
Now there are 24 meat processing enterprises in Moscow, which employ about 14 thousand people. It produces poultry meat and offal, sausages and semi-finished products.
Sausage products are one of the key products produced by Moscow food industry enterprises. Thus, in the first five months of this year, the capital's producers produced over 114.5 thousand tons of sausages, which satisfied the domestic demand by almost 70 percent,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the capital's Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
Meat producers can take advantage of the anti-crisis tools developed by the Moscow Government for manufacturing enterprises and for business in general. These include preferential lending programs for replenishment of working capital and for the implementation of investment projects. Investors who plan to build production facilities in the city can count on a preferential rate when renting land in the amount of one ruble per year and other systemic support measures.
Moscow is a city with developed production. Almost four thousand industrial sites operate in the capital, employing more than 720 thousand people. Annually there are from 40 to 50 new medium and large enterprises, as well as about 100 small ones. They produce a variety of goods: clothes, shoes, cosmetics, furniture, decor items, medicines, medical equipment, sophisticated technology and much more.
